1.5 — Marshon Lattimore — Cornerback — Ohio State

The surprising release of Jason McCourty two weeks before the NFL Draft likely changed the Titans’ big board a bit.

Lattimore is a player I’ve went back and forth on during the months leading up to the draft.

I love his potential and I think he has Pro-Bowl talent. My only concern is his how his hamstrings will hold up.

For what it’s worth, Lattimore’s hamstring injuries could be two different injuries that are completely coincidence.

Lattimore suffered a torn left hamstring in 2014 (which required surgery) and a right hamstring strain in 2015.

The former Buckeye was healthy for all of 2016 and showed that he’s a player worthy of being drafted in the top ten.

A director of player personnel for an AFC team told NFL.com that he expects Lattimore to be a top cornerback in the league pretty quickly.

From NFL.com

"“I’ve studied the top cornerbacks coming out and he’s the best I’ve seen. He’s so athletic that he can just post up under the receiver’s chin and shadow him all over the field. And he’s tough, too. He’ll be one of the top cornerbacks pretty quickly.”"

Given the Titans’ cornerback needs (despite signing Logan Ryan, it’s still a big need), it will be almost impossible for Tennessee to pass on Lattimore.
