6.214 — Ben Boulware — Linebacker — Clemson

If Ben Boulware had better size, he’d likely be selected in the second-third round.

But that’s not the case, which means Boulware will likely fall to the later rounds.

Boulware is a tough competitor that’s been described as the “heart and soul” of Clemson’s defense in 2016.

The former Clemson linebacker is also an extremely smart player. He reads defenses well and he’s a proven leader.

From NFL.com:

"Tough and highly competitive. Has the attitude and swagger for the position but lacks the desired size and quickness. Margin for error might be too small to become a starter in the league, but his potential on special teams could be a way to open the door to an NFL career."

If you can land a quality special teams player in the sixth round, that can also provide solid depth on defense, then it’s a pick that you have to make.

Again, this isn’t a flashy pick, but it’s one that could help the Titans win games.
