Wide Receiver Reps/Rotation

We know for sure that Jauan Jennings will be the Vols’ top wide receiver in 2017.

But beyond Jennings, things aren’t nearly as clear.

In the past, the Vols have used a large rotation at the wide receiver position.

Former wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni liked to rotate six-seven wide receivers.

It will be interesting to see if new wide receivers coach Kevin Beard continues that philosophy, or if he will go with a more traditional three-five wide receiver rotation.

If Beard goes with a smaller rotation, it will likely include sophomores Tyler Byrd and Marquez Callaway, as well as sophomore Brandon Johnson. Jeff George could also see some time in the rotation, as well as some of the true freshmen that were signed in February by Tennessee.

Hopefully we will be able to tell from the spring game what kind of rotation Beard will use in 2017.
