The Tennessee Vols’ annual Orange and White game will take place on April 22.

The Tennessee Vols’ annual Orange and White spring game will take place at Neyland Stadium on April 22.

Tennessee will provide free parking for the event. Admission is also free.

(The university is calling it “Fan Appreciation Day”.)

The Vols will hope to break their spring game attendance record (73,801 in 1986).

Last year’s spring game drew a crowd of 67,027 — the third largest crowd in Vol spring game history.

It might be tough, however, for the Volunteers to draw that big of a crowd.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the Vols’ 2016 team. A lot of folks in the media predicted Tennessee to win the SEC East.

Late season losses to South Carolina and Vanderbilt dashed those hopes.

As a result, a lot of fans are unhappy with the state of program, despite back-to-back nine win seasons.

The Vols are also dealing with quite a bit of attrition — thanks to players like Josh Dobbs, Josh Malone and Alvin Kamara, among others, making their way to the NFL.

It’ll be tough to replace the production of those players, which is why excitement isn’t quite as high for the 2017 season.

Plenty of fans, however, will undoubtedly make their way to Neyland for the free event.

But if you’re unable to make it out to see the game in person, you can still catch it on TV.
