Alvin Kamara — Running Back

Projection: Carolina Panthers — Round 2 — Pick 40

The Carolina Panthers are reportedly interested in taking a running back with the eighth overall pick, but I feel like they’ll eventually come to their senses and draft a defensive end or defensive back instead.

If the Panthers do wait on a running back, as they should, then Alvin Kamara would be a great pick for them in the second round.

Kamara is a first round talent that will slide to the second round because he was never the full time starter at Tennessee. But Vol fans know when Kamara was on the field he was electric with the ball in his hands.

The former Vol running back fits well with the Panthers because he’s also excellent at catching the ball out of the backfield, which is something Carolina has utilized plenty over the years with Jonathan Stewart.
