Josh Dobbs — Quarterback

Projection: Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Round 2 — Pick 50

There’s been a lot of hype around Josh Dobbs the past week or so, but I don’t think he’s going to be an early second round pick like some have suggested.

Tampa Bay would be a reasonable landing spot for Dobbs.

First off, the Bucs don’t have a decent backup to Jameis Winston right now. Ryan Griffin and Sean Renfree aren’t exactly players that inspire confidence in the event that Winston is injured.

Dobbs landing in Tampa Bay would reunite him with his quarterbacks coach from his first two years at Tennessee — Mike Bajakian.

This is probably the best scenario for Dobbs. He needs some time to sit learn in the NFL. He has the ability to eventually be a starter in the NFL, but that talent needs to be developed by NFL coaches.
