Josh Malone — Wide Receiver

Projection: Pittsburgh Steelers — Round 3 — Pick 62

I know I sound redundant at this point, but Malone is yet ANOTHER former Vol with first round talent.

Malone didn’t break out until his junior season, when he proved to be a reliable downfield threat.

Martavis Bryant probably won’t return to the Steelers after the 2017 season, and Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t have a lot of deep threat options (which he loves to have). Malone and his 4.4 speed make perfect sense here for the Steelers.

This might be a bit early for Malone by some analysts’ standards, but I don’t think you can let a wide receiver with NFL size and speed, mixed with a history of scoring 11 touchdowns in the SEC, slip past the third round.
