Quarterback — Quinten Dormady

Junior

You’re going to see plenty of Quinten Dormady in 2017, regardless of who wins the starting quarterback battle.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Jones declares Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano co-starters at the conclusion of fall practice. Both of these kids will get a chance.

With that said, however, I think Dormady will make the most of his opportunity and eventually take a stronghold on the job.

Dormady has a great arm and enough athleticism to keep defenses honest. An improved offensive line should help Dormady take big steps in 2017.

The Texas native is the only quarterback on the roster that has in-game experience.

Even though his experience is limited, it should help Dormady’s nerves once the 2017 season rolls around.

Hopefully for the Vols, Dormady can step up and be a leader in the absence of Josh Dobbs.
