Tennessee Titans Three Round Mock Draft With Browns Trade In First Round
By Zach Ragan
Round 1 Pick 18 — David Njoku — Tight End — Miami
The Titans have the luxury to take the best player available at 18.
This pick could easily be Mike Williams, Corey Davis or OJ Howard, but I don’t think any of those three players will fall to Tennessee.
David Njoku is a player that’s been mocked to the Titans on a semi-regular basis the last couple of months. Analysts don’t think he has the upside of Howard, but he’s still a very athletic pass catch that could eventually replace Delanie Walker on the Titans’ roster.
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein compares Njoku to Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen. He also suggests that Njoku could be a future Pro-Bowl tight end.
"Ascending pass catching talent with elite athleticism and enough fight in his run blocking to believe that he can be lined up anywhere on the field at any time. Njoku should annihilate the combine with monster numbers in speed and explosion, but his play on the field shows he’s more than a combine warrior."
Drafting Njoku is a pick that will pay off in a big way for the Titans in a couple of years.
