Round 3 Pick 100 — John Johnson — Safety — Boston College

I think the Titans will wrap up the third round of the draft by continuing to address their secondary.

The Titans signed safety Johnathan Cyprien this off-season, but that doesn’t mean they’re done adding depth.

John Johnson is a great cover safety, whereas Cyprien is better against the run.

The Titans’ inability to cover last season is well documented, so they could use a safety that plays well in coverage.

Here’s what NFL.com says about Johnson:

"Ascending defender with the experience, athleticism and ball skills to play as a high safety or in man coverage. Johnson is well above average as a ball-tracker and has the soft hands to finish at the catch-point against receivers. He has decent size but won’t be a banger as a tackler, however, his ability in coverage has NFL personnel men buzzing as a potential early starter in the league."

Landing a player like Johnson in the third round is almost theft.

What do you think of the way this plays out for the Titans? Should the team go more offensive heavy? Or is there another player you think they should target in the first round?
