Great In State Recruiting

When you think about states that are rich in college football talent, you probably think of Texas, Florida, Georgia etc.

But Tennessee deserves to be up there with those states.

Just look at some of the notable in-state players Jones has signed since he was hired at Tennessee.

  • Jalen Reeves-Maybin
  • Malik Foreman
  • Brett Kendick
  • Josh Smith
  • Josh Malone
  • Todd Kelly Jr
  • Derek Barnett
  • Jashon Robertson
  • Jack Jones
  • Jauan Jennings
  • Kyle Phillips
  • Trey Smith

That’s a lot of impressive in-state talent.

It’s not hard to put together a talented roster when you have talent like that hanging around in your state. Obviously no coach can land all of the elite in-state talent, but it certainly gives you much better odds when you’re recruiting a Tennessee native to the University of Tennessee.
