The Tennessee Titans have a rookie of the year candidate in wide receiver Corey Davis.

The Tennessee Titans‘ first round draft pick, Western Michigan’s Corey Davis, is one of the favorites to win the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year award.

Davis, according to Bovada, has 8/1 odds to win the award.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is the favorite to win at 7/2 odds.

It says a lot that Davis is so high up the list. Wide receivers typically don’t win offensive rookie of the year.

In fact, since 2000 only three wide receivers have been named offensive rookie of the year.

  • 2003 — Anquan Boldin — Arizona Cardinals
  • 2009 — Percy Harvin — Minnesota Vikings
  • 2014 — Odell Beckham Jr — New York Giants

A running back and quarterback have each been named offensive rookie of the year seven times since 2000.

Davis is expected to be a big part of the Titans’ offense as a rookie. He should immediately begin the season as the third wide receiver on the depth chart.

If Davis can quickly grasp the offense, it shouldn’t take him long to become a regular contributor on Sundays.
