DeMarco Murray — Running Back

  • Rushing yards: 1,180
  • Rushing touchdowns: 8
  • Receiving yards: 350
  • Receiving touchdowns: 2

Titans head coach Mike Mularkey has consistently reiterated this off-season that DeMarco Murray is the team’s “workhorse”.

I definitely believe him and think that will be the case in 2017, but I’d still expect a slight drop in his carries.

It just makes sense.

Derrick Henry is an extremely capable running back. There’s no point in putting a huge load on Murray — especially when the Titans are expected to be a playoff team.

Tennessee has one of the best running games in the league, so I think Murray will have another solid season, but he might not have quite as many yards as he did in 2016.
