The Tennessee Vols might want to have a word with the Texas Longhorns.

There might be some who disagree, but most folks know the Tennessee Vols are the “real UT”.

The Texas Longhorns might try to claim that title, but I’m sorry, it just isn’t true.

It’s hard to say who has more fans, but I think it’s pretty clear that Tennessee has the more passionate fan base (Vol Twitter is still undefeated).

More from Tenn Truth

Recently, Texas tweeted a photo of their white uniforms with the word “stormtroopers” in the tweet. The tweet was for Star Wars day on May 4.

Vol fans can tell you, however, that Tennessee’s all white uniforms have been described as the “stormtrooper uniforms” for a long time.

Nice try, Texas. But once again, this one belongs to the Volunteers.

Perhaps Tennessee and Texas should schedule a non-conference matchup, so the Vols can prove to everyone on the field who the “real UT” is.

We can even make the trophy for the winner of the game a stormtrooper.
