Jarrett Guarantano — Quarterback

Redshirt Freshman

710 Passing Yards — 6 Touchdowns

235 Rushing Yards — 2 Touchdowns

At this point, I don’t think Jarrett Guarantano will win the Vols’ starting quarterback job outright.

But at the same time, I don’t think Tennessee will be able to keep him on the bench the entire season.

Vols quarterbacks coach Mike Canales has already left the door open to playing two quarterbacks.

I think Jones will find a way to work Guarantano into the offense — and it won’t just be for running plays.

Plenty of teams successfully use a second quarterback. The Vols, with two pretty good ones on their roster, might as well be among those teams.
