John Kelly — Running Back

Junior

1,050 Rushing Yards — 10 Touchdowns

13 Receptions — 112 Receiving Yards

John Kelly could be in line for a special season.

Kelly will be the Vols’ “bell cow” running back in 2017, and he proved last season that he’s capable of handling the role.

There’s no doubt that Kelly rushing for 1,000 yards is a pretty loft goal for the junior running back, but I think he’s good enough to pull it off.

Tennessee is going to run the ball a lot in 2017 — especially with a new starting quarterback.

Kelly is at the top of the depth chart all by himself, so Butch Jones will likely give him as many carries as he can handle.
