Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Ja’Wuan James will go into the 2017 season as the Miami Dolphins’ starting right tackle.
Ja’Wuan James had a huge weight lifted off his shoulders earlier this off-season when the Miami Dolphins picked up his fifth year option.
The former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman can now focus on what’s important — getting healthy.
James isn’t participating in Dolphins OTA’s right now due to an unspecified injury.
Koa Misi, Ja'Wuan James and William Hayes were held out of OTA's today. Hayes did work earlier this week, but held out today.

It doesn’t sound like it’s anything serious. James should be fine for training camp in July.

For what it’s worth, it sounds like Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is a big fan of James.

Team picked up 5th-year option earlier this week.
James has started all 16 games for the Dolphins in two of his three seasons with the team.
Even though James has been far from perfect in Miami, it looks like the team has found their long term answer at right tackle.
