Tier 1 — Elite

These coaches are the hands down best in college football

  • Nick Saban — Alabama (205-61-1)
  • Urban Meyer — Ohio State (165-29)

These two coaches are head and shoulders above the rest of college football.

Saban and Meyer have eight national championships between them (5 for Saban, 3 for Meyer) and their teams are at the top of their respective conferences on a yearly basis.

There are very few elite coaches in college football history. We are fortunate to be watching two of the greatest ever in their prime at the same time.

If you’re a fan of a school that’s not Alabama or Ohio State, it’s really not fair to compare your program to these two.

Had different schools hired Saban and Meyer, say Texas and Georgia for example, those would be the two elite programs in college football.
