Why was it the biggest win of the year?

2008 was a year to forget for Vols fans, and there weren’t many positives. This is one of the very few wins that Vols have had against the SEC West in the last decade.

It’s also the only SEC win that didn’t come against Vanderbilt or Kentucky in Phillip Fulmer’s last year as the Volunteers’ head coach.
