Location: Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, TN)

Rankings: Both teams unranked

Attendance: 94,207

Why was it the biggest win of the year?

I’d really prefer to just skip this year, but that would be bad form.

There are only two candidates for the Vols’ best win in 2011. The win against Vanderbilt would be the other.

Cincinnati was actually only three points away from a BCS bowl in 2011, so it’s not like they were a bad team (they just played in a bad conference).

This is probably the best game the Vols played all season. It was all downhill from here.

Thanks to this win, Derek Dooley owns a 1-0 career record against Butch Jones.
