2013 Season: Tennessee 23 South Carolina 21

Date: October 19

Location: Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, TN)

Rankings: Tennessee — unranked, South Carolina — 11

Attendance: 102,455

Why was it the biggest win of the year?

Butch Jones, who took over for Derek Dooley after the 2012 season, and the Vols were still in the honeymoon period in 2013.

But the Vols still needed a big win to give fans some hope.

Tennessee controlled field position much of this game. A miraculous one handed catch from Marquez Noth, along with Michael Paladry’s leg, helped deliver a upset win for the Vols.

This game was the first time since 2010 that Tennessee won an SEC game against a team other than Kentucky or Vanderbilt.
