4. The Titans Will Go Undefeated In December

If we’re going to get bold, we might as well get really bold.

December is the only month where the Titans play five games, but I also think it’s their best shot at having an undefeated month.

There are a couple of reasons why I think this.

Going undefeated in September would require the Titans to beat both the Raiders and the Seahawks. Both of those games are at home, so it’s possible. But I’m not ready to make that assumption.

October features tough road games against the Texans and Dolphins, while November gives the Titans a matchup with the Bengals and a road game against the Steelers.

In December, the Titans play two road games — against less than stellar competition in the Cardinals and 49ers. The home slate features games against the Texans, Rams and Jaguars — all very winnable games.

The Titans’ offense is built around the run game, which should thrive in December. A strong finish to the season is exactly why the Titans will grab on those two first round byes.
