1. Marcus Mariota

It’s hard to believe that Marcus Mariota is only 23, probably because he’s already in the top half of NFL quarterbacks.

Don’t get me wrong, that’s what the Titans expected when they took him with the second overall pick in the 2015 draft.

But we all know simply selecting a quarterback with a first round draft pick doesn’t mean you automatically get a franchise quarterback.

(The Titans should know this as well as any team.)

Mariota improved steadily from his first to second season, starting more games, throwing for more yards and throwing less interceptions.

There’s absolutely no reason to think Mariota won’t be even better in 2017. Especially with added offensive weapons in Corey Davis, Eric Decker and Taywan Taylor.

It’s hard to be a successful franchise in the NFL without a quality starting quarterback. The Titans have a player who is a potential Pro-Bowl quarterback and I suspect we will see the best of Mariota in year three.
