12. Mark Stoops — Kentucky

One bowl game appearance

Mark Stoops is in the same boat as Derek Mason.

It’s not easy to win at Kentucky, but Stoops was able to deliver a winning season for the Wildcats in 2016. He also helped Kentucky beat in-state rival Louisville (who was ranked 11th at the time).

The Wildcats are a team that could make some noise in the SEC East in 2017. I don’t think they’re a threat to win the division, but they could pull an upset or two that could change the landscape of the division.

The only reason Stoops gets the nod over Mason here is because Kentucky finished tied for second in the SEC East last season.
