This early November game will provide Tennessee with an opportunity to create some momentum in the home stretch of the season.

Southern Miss, much like Kentucky, isn’t a pushover. In fact, the Golden Eagles beat Kentucky last season. They also finished the season with a winning record and a bowl victory.

But this is still a team the Vols should easily beat. I don’t think, at this point in the season, that Tennessee will overlook a team like Southern Mississippi.

The Vols will likely be finding their groove by November. I think we’ll see Tennessee play their best football in the last month of the season.

Prediction: Tennessee wins
