Tennessee Vols: Final Pre-Season Game By Game Predictions

This game is as important as any game on the schedule for Butch Jones and the Vols.

Tennessee can afford losses to Florida and Georgia, as long as they win the games they’re “supposed to win”.

This is one of those games — just as it was last season.

Vol fans have had a bad taste in their mouth all off-season due to the loss off a bye week to South Carolina last season. Beating the Gamecocks in 2017 won’t erase that bad taste (that loss did, after all, likely cost UT the SEC East), but it will at least make the loss a distant memory.

Tennessee has never beat a team coached by Will Muschamp, dating back to 2011 (he’s sent plenty of snide comments their way after wins over the years).

The Vols are finally going to get to him in 2017, though.

And when they do, hopefully Butch Jones will return fire with a snarky comment of his own.
