The Tennessee Titans made a roster addition on Sunday.

The Tennessee Titans announced the signing of free agent running back Brandon Radcliff on Sunday.

Radcliff is an undrafted free agent out of Louisville. He was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts, but he was waived shortly after signing.

The Titans are pretty much set at running back, with five already on the roster. The top two running backs are clear — DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. The Titans also have David Fluellen, Khalfani Muhammad, and Akeem Judd on the roster.

Radcliff had a fairly productive college career at Louisville, rushing for over 2,000 yards during his career there. But while he was productive in college, he likely has an uphill battle to climb to make the Titans’ roster.

The signing of Radcliff, to put it bluntly, is to add another training camp body. It’s incredibly doubtful he finds a spot on the final 53 man roster.

One of the Titans’ biggest strengths in 2017 will be their ground game. Controlling the clock and punishing opposing defenses is what this offense is built to do. Murray and Henry are perfect for this system.

Tennessee head coach Mike Mularkey has said on multiple occasions that Murray will be the team’s featured running back once again in 2017. While I believe that to be true, I think you’ll see a lot more of Henry in 2017 than you did in 2016.

With a running back as talented as Henry on the roster, there’s absolutely no reason to let Murray take a beating all season long.
