6. LSU Tigers
I’m incredibly skeptical of Ed Orgeron.
Being successful as an interim coach is completely different than sustaining long term success as a head coach.
Orgeron has a losing record through his career as a head coach, though he has went 6-2 as an interim head coach on two separate occasions (USC in 2013 and LSU in 2016).
The Tigers will be unveiling a new offense in 2017 under new offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Given the personnel that’s already on the roster, there could be some growing pains.
LSU lost a lot of talent on defense, but they still have one of the better defensive coordinators in the SEC.
I think the Tigers could struggle to find chemistry in 2017, leading to some tough losses.
