Tennessee Vols: 2017 Pre-Season SEC Power Rankings

2. Auburn Tigers
Auburn has the talent to knock of Alabama in 2017, but whether or not that actually happens is an entirely different conversation.
The Tigers have a great running back situation, and a new offensive coordinator to give the program a fresh look.
Auburn also has Jarrett Stidham, a former Baylor quarterback, coming in an competing. Stidham could be what takes the Tigers’ offense to the next level.
The defense won’t be as good in 2017, without defensive playmakers Carl Lawson and Rudy Ford, but they should still be decent enough to not be a liability.
Auburn is a boom or bust team in 2017. They could surprise everyone and win the SEC West, or they could completely sink.
