Tennessee Vols: 2017 Pre-Season SEC Power Rankings
By Zach Ragan
9. Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky was explosive offensively last season and it looks like it will be more of the same in 2017.
The Wildcats will rely on quarterback Stephen Johnson once again this season — he was impressive last season. Kentucky will also rely on running back Benny Snell, a powerful runner that was a freshman All-American last season.
Kentucky’s defense should be better this season, but I don’t think it will improve enough for the Wildcats to start shutting down opponents.
I think you’ll see Kentucky win some shootouts in 2017, but I also think you’ll see them lose some games due to their tendency to give up a high amount of points.
