3. Added Playmakers

The Tennessee Titans’ offense ranked 14th in the NFL in points per game last season, so it’s not like they were struggling to score.

But if you can make the offense more dangerous, that’s obviously a good thing.

One of the Titans’ off-season goals was to add more playmakers on offense — specifically at the wide receiver position.

General manager Jon Robinson achieved this by drafting wide receiver Corey Davis, the all-time FBS leader in receiving yards, with the fifth overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. He also drafted Taywan Taylor, who has shined this pre-season, in the third round of the draft.

Just before the start of training camp, the Titans added veteran wide receiver Eric Decker.

Decker missed most of the the 2016 season, but in 2015, with the woeful Jets, he caught 80 passes for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The added offensive weapons should bring another element to the Titans’ offense, and perhaps open up the running game even more.
