5. State Of The AFC South

The biggest reason the Titans are the undisputed favorites in the AFC South in 2017 is the state of the rest of the division.

Tennessee is the team with the best roster, and fewest question marks in the division.

The Colts have no idea what to expect from quarterback Andrew Luck in 2017. And without Luck, the Colts don’t stand a chance in the division.

As of right now, we have no idea if Luck will be available for Indy’s season opener.

The Texans probably have the best defense in the division, but their quarterback situation is also terrible — for now. Houston is planning on starting Tom Savage at quarterback. I don’t see any way that he leads the Texans to a division title.

And the Jaguars’ quarterback situation is just as dire. Jacksonville announced on Saturday that Blake Bortles will be the starting quarterback in 2017. He’s been entrenched in a quarterback battle with journeyman signal caller Chad Henne. That’s not a sentence that should bring a lot of hope for Jaguars fans in 2017.

The Titans are the team in the best position to win the division this season. They clearly have the best roster, top to bottom, and that will show in the final standings at the end of December.
