Win At Least One Game Against Florida Or Georgia

For the first time since 2004, the Vols beat both Florida and Georgia in 2016.

But they still didn’t win the SEC East.

So to think they could win the SEC East in 2017 without beating at least one of them is absolutely ludicrous.

Most folks are predicting that Tennessee will lose to at least Florida, Georgia, Alabama and LSU.

Even if they beat LSU, which I think they will (I think the Tigers are incredibly overrated), then that would still leave the Vols with three conference losses.

Winning the SEC East with three losses is possible (South Carolina won the East in 2010 with three losses), but it’s incredibly unlikely. The Vols would need complete chaos in the division to win the East with three losses.

That means Tennessee has to win a game against the Gators or the Bulldogs (though both would be preferable, obviously). The Volunteers are very capable of beating both Florida and Georgia again in 2017. They’ll likely be an underdog in both games, but that’s something that probably works to their favor.
