Vols Football: Which Uniforms Will Tennessee Wear Against Georgia Tech?
By Zach Ragan
The Tennessee Vols will kick off the 2017 season on September 4 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
The Tennessee Vols’ first game of the season, against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, is technically a neutral site game. That means the Vols could be wearing anything from all white to all orange to all gray.
Based on a recent screenshot from Snapchat, however, it looks like the all white “stormtrooper” uniforms are off the table.
It appears the Volunteers will be going traditional by wearing orange tops.
We don’t get a view of the pants in the photo, but I would bet they’ll go with white pants. That seems to be Tennessee’s go to “home” uniform.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the all orange uniforms. So I’m secretly holding out hope that Butch Jones and the team decides to go with orange pants against the Yellow Jackets. I think it’s the best looking uniform in college football.
Since we know the Vols will be wearing at least a bit of color, I think it’s safe to assume that Georgia Tech will be going with their all white uniforms.
Of course, it doesn’t matter which uniforms Tennessee chooses to wear on Labor Day night — they best come prepared for a battle.
Georgia Tech is one of the better teams in the ACC. Their vaunted triple option offense can provide a lot of problems for defenses.

The good news, however, is that Tennessee’s had all off-season to prepare for Georgia Tech’s offense.
Hopefully the Volunteers will get to celebrate a win in their orange jerseys, instead of trying to figure out what went wrong.
