Jaycee Horn is a Tennessee Vols commit from Georgia that plays cornerback.

You’d assume that most four-star defensive back recruits wouldn’t have any problem covering their dad.

But most four-star recruits aren’t the son of a former Pro-Bowl NFL wide receiver.

Tennessee Vols commit Jaycee Horn is the son of former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn, and the elder Horn isn’t so sure he can be covered by the younger Horn.

I’m sorry Joe, I have a lot of admiration for what you did in the NFL. And I appreciate how you helped my fantasy football team in the early 2000’s, but I think your four-star son can keep you out of the end zone.

The younger Horn is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the 24th best player in the state of Georgia and the 25th overall 2018 cornerback in the nation.

I’m pretty sure that Jaycee could cover his 45 year old father.

But I won’t go as far as saying that he could cover Joe Horn in his prime. The elder Horn might not be a future hall of famer, but he’s still one of the better wide receivers to ever play in the NFL. I hope Jaycee Horn turns out to be great, but until we see him play in the SEC, it’s tough to say he could cover his dad in his prime.

All fun and games aside, it’s worth nothing that Jaycee told Jimmy Hyams on Tuesday that he plans on taking visits to other schools. But he sounds like he’s still solid to Tennessee.
