This is a sneaky tough game for Vanderbilt to open the season with. Middle Tennessee isn’t a bad team, and it’s not like Vanderbilt is the class of the SEC.

Plus this is a road game, though I don’t expect that to be too much of a factor.

Derek Mason’s Commodores played very well last year, I expect some carry over of that momentum into 2017.
