Tennessee Vols: Week 4 SEC Power Rankings
By Zach Ragan
5. Kentucky Wildcats
Last week: 12
Week 3 result: Kentucky 23 South Carolina 13
Before the season started, I scoffed at those who suggested Kentucky could be a threat to win the SEC East.
The Wildcats narrowly beating Eastern Kentucky only furthered my belief that the Wildcats would finish in the bottom half of the East.
But now I’m not so sure.
Kentucky went on the road and beat South Carolina this weekend. No, the Gamecocks aren’t the class of the SEC East, but they showed in wins against NC State and Missouri that they’re a good football team.
And apparently, Kentucky is better.
