Scott Frost — UCF Head Coach

Scott Frost might end up being the hottest name in head coaching searches by the end of the season.

Central Florida is off to a 4-0 start this season and that includes drubbings of Maryland, Memphis and Cincinnati. They haven’t won a game by less than 27 points this season.

Of course the only problem is that the former Chip Kelly assistant will probably end up at Nebraska.

Frost won a national championship at Nebraska in 1997 (securing the championship against Tennessee, oddly enough) and there will likely be an opening there after this season.

But that doesn’t mean that Tennessee shouldn’t go after Frost. He clearly has the ability to turn a program into a powerhouse.

It’s unfortunate that UCF’s game against Georgia Tech was canceled this season (due to weather). I feel that would’ve given us a better sense of how Frost’s teams stack up against Power 5 teams.

Regardless, I still feel Frost is one of the top coaches that will be available.
