Chip Kelly — Former Oregon Head Coach

Don’t listen to anyone that tells you Chip Kelly isn’t an option at Tennessee.

The truth is that no one knows what Kelly would do. Even those closest to him aren’t sure, and if they did know, they wouldn’t be sharing it with the media.

Kelly has done a stellar job of keeping the media on their toes when it comes to his next move. There’s no way he’s going to tip his hand.

So maybe Kelly will be an option at Tennessee, or maybe he won’t. But he’s clearly the top option among available coaches and he’s someone the Volunteers have to go after full force.

If Kelly came to Tennessee, he’d immediately turn the program into one of the best in the SEC.

Opportunities to hire a coach like Kelly don’t come along very often, which means the Vols have to throw everything they have at the former Oregon head coach to convince him to come to Knoxville.
