Chris Petersen — Washington

Chris Petersen is as west coast as it gets. He’s spent all but one year of his coaching career out west (he was the QB’s coach at Pittsburgh in 1992).

And let’s be honest, it took a lot to get him to leave Boise State for Washington in late 2013. I wasn’t sure he was ever leaving Idaho.

But he did, and he’s carved himself out a nice niche with the Huskies. It took Petersen a couple of years, but he now has the Huskies as a legitimate playoff contender on an annual basis.

He has everything he wants at Washington, why would Petersen leave that to come to Tennessee?

Well, he wouldn’t. I understand why some Vol fans want Petersen to come to Rocky Top really bad, but it has zero chance of happening.
