David Shaw — Stanford

David Shaw’s situation is very similar to Chris Petersen’s — except I think it’s even less likely that Shaw would come to Tennessee.

Shaw is another west coast guy that has found success at his current school, which also happens to be his alma mater.

So again, why would Shaw leave the west coast, and the school where he played, for an uncertain situation at a program that plays Alabama every year?

That’s obviously rhetorical.

Shaw is making almost $4 million a year at Stanford. If he even entertained the idea of interviewing with Tennessee it would only be for leverage to get a raise with the Cardinal.
