10. PJ Fleck — Head coach at Minnesota

When I first started evaluating potential head coaches to replace Butch Jones, I was all in on PJ Fleck.

But the more I looked into Fleck as a coach, the more I saw the probability that he’s another Butch Jones.

Fleck, who is only 36, landed the head coaching gig at Minnesota on the heels of a 13-1 season at Western Michigan.

The Broncos almost went undefeated in 2016, but their offense was completely bottled up when they played Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl (how much of their success was do to a historically great wide receiver in Corey Davis).

The concern with Fleck, who utilizes similar corny catchphrases and doesn’t believe in momentum, is that no one knows how his offense would translate to the SEC. Sure, it works in the MAC, but so did Butch’s.

Fleck is 3-3 so far at Minnesota. The Gophers have lost their last three games. Two of the losses came against teams that Minnesota beat last season.
