Tennessee Vols defensive back Rashaan Gaulden didn’t hold back on Saturday afternoon.

The Tennessee Vols might be struggling this season, but that didn’t stop defensive back Rashaan Gaulden from letting Alabama fans know his true feelings.

Gaulden’s “salute” came after Daniel Bituli returned an interception 97 yards for a touchdown.

Bituli’s touchdown was the first time the Vols have found the end zone since their narrow win against UMass on September 23.

It’s worth mentioning that after Bituli’s big play, the Volunteers were still losing 28-7, so it probably was not the right time for Gaulden to flip off the crowd.

But then again, this is Alabama we’re talking about. And we all know that Bama fans can be the absolute worst, so I’m down with Gaulden’s decision to to say the hell with them.

By the way, if anyone on Tennessee’s roster deserved to let Bama fans have it on Saturday, it’s Rashaan Gaulden. He’s been their best defensive player most of the season, and he has been against Alabama as well.

It’s nice to see some life from the Volunteers, which is something we haven’t see much of this season. Tennessee has looked lifeless since their last second lost to Florida in September. They barely showed up against UMass, and they didn’t show up against Georgia at all.

Fortunately for the Volunteers, their schedule gets a bit easier after playing Alabama.

Tennessee will travel to Kentucky next Saturday night to take on the Wildcats.

The Vols then get Southern Mississippi at home.
