Lane Kiffin Can’t Stop Trolling Tennessee Vols
By Zach Ragan
The Former Vols head coach can’t stop tweeting about Tennessee.
After three years of exile in Tuscaloosa, former Tennessee Vols head coach Lane Kiffin is having the time of his life in Boca Roton.
Kiffin, free from the communication restraints of Nick Saban, is letting it fly on Twitter these days. More often than not, Kiffin’s off-the-cuff tweets have something to do with Tennessee.
His latest tweet especially.
Kiffin’s FAU squad is on their way to Kentucky, where they will take on Western Kentucky this weekend.
I wouldn’t put too much stock, however, into Kiffin’s tweets about Tennessee. He’s admitted that he likes to enjoy himself and the tweets are all in good fun.
Kiffin also took the time on Friday to reply to a Vol fan that was apologizing for all the bad things he’d said in reference to Lane leaving UT. He also asked Kiffin to return to Knoxville.
Kiffin wasn’t done yet. He also tweeted about Tennessee equipment manager Roger Frazier.
I will admit, that last tweet from Kiffin almost sounds like a regretful ex. I have no doubt that Kiffin wishes he was back at Tennessee. But that’s obviously something that’s not going to happen.
While I think Kiffin could be successful at Tennessee (he does have one of the great offensive minds in college football), bringing him back would be way too big of a risk (it would probably alienate half the fan base).

And taking a risk right now is not something Tennessee can afford to do.
