6. Jeff Brohm — Head coach at Purdue

Jeff Brohm isn’t exactly lighting it up in his first season at Purdue.

But to be fair, no one lights it up at Purdue.

For what it’s worth, Purdue is still better off than they have been the last few years. If Brohm is able to take the Boilermakers bowling this year, that will be a hell of an accomplishment (remember, Saban went 7-6 in his first season at Alabama).

My biggest concern with Brohm is that it might take him a couple of years to get it going at Tennessee. I think he’d be a great coach longterm, but he might not provide the immediate results that Vol fans crave.

Which is something I totally understand.

But Brohm is going to be a good college football coach for a long time.
