4. Mike Gundy — Head coach at Oklahoma State

Mike Gundy and the athletic department at Oklahoma State are never going to get along.

It’s still a longshot that he’d consider leaving his alma mater, but it also wouldn’t exactly be shocking.

Gundy is another coach that is extremely successful without landing elite talent. Oklahoma State’s recruiting classes are typically ranked around 30th.

If Gundy came to Tennessee, he could land top 15 classes on a regular basis.

There’s no doubt that Gundy is a great coach. I think he would have the Vols as a favorite in the SEC East on a near yearly basis.

Gundy currently makes $3.75 million a year at Oklahoma State, so the Vols might be able to sway him to Knoxville with a pay raise and a fresh start.
