Knoxville Would Be An Ideal Place For Gruden And His Family

This is the main reason Gruden’s name has popped up multiple times for the Tennessee job.

We all know the history. Gruden was a GA under Johnny Majors at Tennessee, his wife was a UT cheerleader, nearly all of her family still resides in the area, etc.

Gruden’s wide, Cindy, would make the perfect first lady of Tennessee football. And fans would absolutely love that Gruden has a history with Tennessee. He gets what it’s all about. Nothing would catch him off guard in Knoxville.

Plus there’s the fact that Gruden could bring his son Deuce along with him to Tennessee. Deuce is currently the assistant strength coach for the Redskins.

It’s also fairly well known that Gruden’s wife would like to return to the area. Obviously Gruden could live in Knoxville and still work for ESPN. But it would be very difficult for him to live in Knoxville and coach somewhere else.

If the Gruden’s move to Knoxville, there’s just no way Jon is going to take a job with the Giants or the Eagles.

That’s why it makes perfect sense for Gruden to make the move to East Tennessee and land a job that would keep him in town with his family.
