Scott Frost — UCF head coach

Frost might actually be more of a longshot than Patterson and Gruden.

The feeling is that Frost is going to end up at either Florida or Nebraska (his alma mater).

But Tennessee still has to at least get in the game here.

I think Frost is going to be a superstar coach. His UCF team, in year two, is playing lights out this year. It’s pretty remarkable. And I think he’d do well in Knoxville — he has the right kind of personality.

But would it be smart for Tennessee to get into a bidding war for someone that only has two years of head coaching experience?

As much as I think Frost is going to be a star, I don’t think the Vols can realistically pay someone with his experience $5 or $6 million a year (but then again, it might be the right move).
