Chris Petersen — Washington Head Coach

With Jon Gruden now seemingly off the radar, Petersen has turned into the “dream candidate” for the Vols.

There has reportedly been some contact between Petersen’s reps and Tennessee, but that’s not unusual once the coaching carousel begins and it doesn’t mean that he’s seriously interested in leaving Washington.

Petersen would be the grand-slam, knock it out of the park hire that Currie desperately needs. He currently makes $4 million at Washington and he’s been unhappy with the start time of Pac-12 games.

If I was Currie, I’d offer him $7-8 million and do everything in my power to get him to Knoxville.
