Who will be the next head coach of the Tennessee Vols?

The Tennessee Vols are running out of options to consider for their head coaching vacancy, after John Currie made the job a little less attractive by trying to sneak Greg Schiano into Knoxville, triggering a fan and booster revolt.

Fortunately, however, the Vols still have some decent options left. Some of them, obviously, are more attractive than others.

For what it’s worth, I think the Vols should still try to throw a lot of money at Scott Frost. I don’t think a last ditch effort would work (he seems locked in on Nebraska), but I’d at least make the attempt.

I think Mike Norvell is off Tennessee’s hot board. For some mysterious reason, he’s vanished from their list. I’m assuming the Vols saw something through the vetting process they didn’t like.

Norvell is a good coach, but it doesn’t look like he’ll get an offer from Tennessee.

Here are the five coaches I think the Vols will be considering. I would be surprised if Tennessee’s next coach wasn’t one of these guys.
